About Us

Growth, Insight, Acceptance

At Neurodiverse Counseling Associates, we are LGBTQIA+ affirming therapists specializing in working with neurodivergent individuals and their loved ones. We provide long-term, client-centered mental health care and approach each client with unconditional positive regard. We acknowledge and celebrate that each person is bringing with them their own talents, interests, experiences, traumas, and expectations for treatment. We develop individualized care aimed at working collaboratively with important individuals in the client’s lives to guide each client toward growth, insight, and acceptance.

At Neurodiverse Counseling Associates, clinicians Herzog and Huber bring together years of experience working with neurodivergent people across the lifespan and their families. Both clinicians are Licensed Professional Counselors in the state of Pennsylvania and are Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialists, providing outpatient therapy in office or via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

  • My work as a clinician has led to a strong belief in the therapeutic process. Recognizing sameness and differences, acknowledging strengths, embracing long-term care, and providing unconditional positive regard are the hallmarks to my work. I have been working with neurodivergent individuals in a variety of capacities, including in-home services, group, family, and individual therapy since 2009. I maintain a strong focus on client-centered work, valuing a strong therapeutic relationship that is based on mutual understanding and respect. I see myself not as an expert, but rather a partner through which my clients can rely on to help grow and further their role as self-expert. I work with clients 11 years and up but bring with me knowledge gained from years of experience with pre-school and elementary-aged children. Largely, I work with young adults who initiate therapy to develop a greater understanding of themselves through the Autism or ADHD lens. I am a strong believer in self-diagnosis and the client being their own expert. My experience working with parents and caregivers of neurodivergent individuals guides my collaborative work with families and other important people and professionals in my client’s lives. I incorporate each client’s special interests and talents into our work together. This approach centers individual passions to promote growth, insight, and wellness.
